Artist Statement
My work explores the inherent bond between human interiority and the cosmic expanse. Investigating the individual as a microcosm where personal emotion and universal structure converge, I utilize a range of media including video, photography, collage, and drawing. Central to my practice is the airbrush, a medium I employ to find new modes of contemporary expression and to mirror the atmospheric, expansive nature of my subjects.
I am interested in the "oasis" as a visual state of cognitive and emotional regeneration. Informed by a synthesis of classical philosophy, the study of the sacred, and archetypal symbols, my work identifies the threads that link the intimate psyche to primordial systems. These compositions function as meditative thresholds: spaces where the noise of daily existence dissolves into a heightened state of awareness.
Ultimately, my work seeks to map the weight of being, moving from the hidden architecture of the body toward the vast, unanswerable scale of the infinite.
